Grinrise Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company” or the “Grinrise”) complies with the personal information protection provisions under the relevant laws to be observed by information communication service providers, including the Communications Secret Protection Act, the Telecommunications Business Act, the Act Relating to Information Communications Network Use Promotion and Information Protection, etc., and does its best to protect the rights and interests of users by setting forth privacy policies pursuant to the relevant laws.
1. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

To develop new services and provide customized services, to provide services and publish advertisements according to demographic features, to verify the validity of services, to provide information for events or advertisements and provide opportunities to participate, to figure out access frequencies or obtain statistics on the service uses by members
Email communications. Grinrise may, from time to time, send you email regarding our products and services, or products and services we think you may enjoy. Only Grinrise(or our vendors or service providers operating on our behalf) will send you these emails. You can choose not to receive these emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. Please note that you are not permitted to unsubscribe or opt-out of non-promotional messages regarding your account, such as account verification, changes or updates to features of the App, or technical or security notices.
2. Retention and Use Period for Personal Information
In principle, once the purposes of collection and use of personal information have been fulfilled, the Company without delay destroys the personal information ; provided, however, that the Company retains the personal information during a specified period of time for the following reasons :

3. Sharing and Provisions of Personal Information
The Company uses personal information of users only within the scope as notified in the “1. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information.” and shall not use or in principle disclose to a third party the personal information of users in excess of the scope without the prior consent of users : provided, however, that exceptions are made in the following cases:
- In the event that users have given a prior consent to the disclosure ; or
- In the event that the disclosure is required under the provisions of laws or requested by investigative agencies according to the procedures and methods prescribed under the laws for investigation purposes.
Merger or Sale. If we become involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, change of control, or any form of sale of some or all of our assets, your personal information may be transferred or disclosed in connection with the business transaction. In such an event, we will make efforts to require the new owner to abide by the terms of this Privacy Policy or to provide notice before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Rights to Personal Information of Users and Legal Representatives, and the Exercise Methods
- Users or their legal representatives may at any time inquire or change their personal information or the personal information of children of not more than thirteen (13) years old, and may request terminations of subscriptions.
- Users or their legal representatives may change changing the “My Profile” within the services in order to inquire or change their personal information or the personal information of children of not more than thirteen (13) years old, or may directly read, correct their personal information or withdraw from membership by clicking on the “Delete Account” within the services in order to terminate the subscriptions (withdraw their consents).
- Or if users contact the personal information control manager in writing, by telephone or e-mail, the Company will take measures without delay.
- Where a user has requested corrections of errors in the personal information, the Company does not use or provide the personal information until the corrections are completed. Also where the wrong personal information has been already provided to a third party, the Company will make the corrections by giving the third party of the correction handling results without delay.
- The Company handles the personal information terminated or deleted upon request of users or their legal representatives as specified in the “2. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information,” and take measures to ensure that the personal information is not read or used for any other purposes.
5. Items of Personal Information to be Collected and Collection Methods
A. Items of Personal Information to be Collected
Firstly, the Company collects the following information when users first subscribe to the membership in order to provide membership subscriptions, smooth customer consultation, and various services.
Unique device numbers (device IDs or IMEI), local formats
Secondly, in the process of using services, the following information may be automatically created and collected :
Information on Users’ conditions, photos, cookies, visit dates and times, records of service uses, records of wrongful uses
B. Personal Information Collection Methods
The Company collects the personal information in the following ways :
- Automatically collecting the personal information by implementing or using programs of the Grinrise
- Collecting the personal information by voluntary provisions of the personal information by users while users subscribe to or use the services
Information you provide to us. When you sign up for an account on the Grinrise Kids app, we collect your email address. When you click on our email to verify your email address, we will collect your IP address and approximate location at the city or zip code level where you verified the email address. If you choose to establish an account so you may access the App across various devices, we will collect your password. We may collect additional information from you if you contact our technical support team, send us an email, complete a user survey, or otherwise communicate with us.
Information you provide about your child. During account registration, we ask you to provide the name and age of your child. We recommend you select a nickname or silly name for your child’s user name, and do not use your child’s real name, for additional security purposes. We do not ask for or collect any additional personal information from your child.
6. Destruction Procedures and Methods for Personal Information
The Company in principle destroys the personal information of users without delay if the purposes of collection or use of personal information have been fulfilled. The Company’s destruction procedures and methods for personal information are as follows:
A. Destruction Procedures
- The information entered by users for membership subscription, etc. is to be moved to a separate database, after the purposes have been fulfilled (a separate document in the case of a sheet), and to be destroyed after the information has been saved for a certain period of time according to the information protection reasons under the internal policies or other relevant laws (see the retention and use period for reference).
- The personal information is not used for purposes other than the purpose of being retained unless it is so required by laws.
B. Destruction Methods
- The personal information printed out in sheets is to be shredded by paper shredders or destroyed by way of incineration.
- The personal information saved in an electronic file format is to be deleted with the use of technical methods in which records cannot be regenerated.
7. Technical and Managerial Protection Measures for Personal Information
The Company takes the following technical and/or managerial protection measures to establish security in treating the personal information of users, in order to ensure that the personal information is not lost, stolen. Leaked, altered, or damaged.
A. Measures in preparation of hacking or viruses
The Company uses its best effort to prevent members’ personal information being disclosed or damaged by hackings, computer viruses, etc. The Company frequently backs up materials in preparation of damages of personal information and prevents personal information or materials of users from being leaked or harmed by using the latest vaccine programs, and enables personal information to be safely transmitted on the networks through encoded communications, etc. And the Company controls unauthorized access from the outside by using firewall systems, and makes efforts to have all possible technical equipment to obtain security systematically.
B. Minimizing Treating Employees and Providing Education
The Company allows only authorized persons to treat personal information and for this purpose grants and regularly renews separate passwords, and at all times stresses out their compliance with Grinrise’s privacy policies by frequently providing education to authorized persons.
C. Operation of Exclusive Organization for Protection of Personal Information
And the Company verifies performances of the privacy policies of Grinrise and compliance therewith by authorized persons through its internal organization for protection of personal information, etc., and if it a problem is found out, the Company makes efforts to immediately solve and correct the problem(s); provided, however, that the Company will not take any liabilities for problems that have occurred as personal information has been disclosed due to the members’ own carelessness or problems on the Internet.
Our App is intended to be used by children under 13 only with the consent and oversight of a parent or by a teacher or school for use as part of the school's curriculum, as explained in Section 8 below. An adult with a verified email address must download the App and create an account before permitting a child to use the App. Please contact us at contact@grinrise.com if you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without consent from a parent or guardian so that we may delete the information as soon as possible.
The following applies when a child uses the App with a parent’s consent and oversight:
How do we use this information? We use it to operate, personalize, maintain, enhance, and provide all of the features of our App. We do not use this information for marketing or advertising purposes.
8. Matters on Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Automatic Collection Instruments of Personal Information
When a user implements services of the Grinrise, the Company automatically collects a device identification number (a device ID or IMEI) in order to create account information.
In the event that a user refuses to a device identification being automatically collected, the user may not user the services of the Grinrise.

다. 위치정보
회사는 개인의 위치를 식별할 수 있는 정보를 수집 또는 저장, 활용하지 않습니다. 다만, 광고 배너 등이 포함된 일부 그린라이즈 서비스에서는 광고 서비스 제공 업체의 위치 인식 광고가 실제 위치에 대한 정보(예) 휴대기기에서 보낸 GPS 신호) 또는 근처 Wi-Fi 액세스 포인트 및 기지국 정보를 제공할 수 있는 기기의 센서 데이터 등으로 위치정보를 수집하여 저장하지 않고 한시적으로 활용할 수 있습니다.
6. 개인정보 파기에 관한 사항
이용자의 개인정보는 원칙적으로 개인정보의 수집 및 이용 목적이 달성되면 지체 없이 파기합니다. 회사의 개인정보 파기절차 및 방법은 다음과 같습니다.
가. 파기절차
- 이용자가 회원가입 등을 위해 입력한 정보는 목적 달성 후 별도의 DB로 옮겨져(종이의 경우 별도의 서류함) 내부 방침 및 기타 관련 법령에 의한 정보보호 사유에 따라(보유 및 이용 기간 참조) 일정 기간 저장된 후 파기됩니다.
- 동 개인정보는 법률에 의한 경우가 아니고서는 보유되는 이외의 다른 목적으로 이용되지 않습니다.
나. 파기방법
- 종이에 출력된 개인정보는 분쇄기로 분쇄하거나 소각을 통하여 파기합니다.
- 전자적 파일 형태로 저장된 개인정보는 기록을 재생할 수 없는 기술적 방법을 사용하여 삭제합니다.
7. 개인정보의 안전성 확보조치에 관한 사항
회사는 이용자들의 개인정보를 취급함에 있어 개인정보가 분실, 도난, 누출, 변조 또는 훼손되지 않도록 안전성 확보를 위하여 다음과 같은 기술적/관리적 대책을 강구하고 있습니다.
가. 개인정보 암호화
이용자의 비밀번호는 암호화되어 저장 및 관리되고 있어 본인만이 알 수 있으며 중요한 데이터는 파일 및 전송 데이터를 암호화하거나 파일 잠금 기능을 사용하는 등의 별도 보안기능을 사용하고 있습니다.
나. 해킹 등에 대비한 대책
회사는 해킹이나 컴퓨터 바이러스 등에 의해 회원의 개인정보가 유출되거나 훼손되는 것을 막기 위해 최선을 다하고 있습니다. 개인정보의 훼손에 대비해서 자료를 수시로 백업하고 있고, 최신 백신프로그램을 이용하여 이용자들의 개인정보나 자료가 유출되거나 손상되지 않도록 방지하고 있으며, 암호화 통신 등을 통하여 네트워크상에서 개인정보를 안전하게 전송할 수 있도록 하고 있습니다. 그리고 침입차단시스템을 이용하여 외부로부터의 무단 접근을 통제하고 있으며, 기타 시스템적으로 보안성을 확보하기 위한 가능한 모든 기술적 장치를 갖추려 노력하고 있습니다.
다. 취급 직원의 최소화 및 교육
회사의 개인정보 관련 취급 직원은 담당자에 한정시키고 있고 이를 위한 별도의 비밀번호를 부여하여 정기적으로 갱신하고 있으며, 담당자에 대한 수시 교육을 통하여 그린라이즈 개인정보취급방침의 준수를 항상 강조하고 있습니다.
8. 개인정보 자동 수집 장치의 설치 운영 및 그 거부에 관한 사항
가. 쿠키
- 쿠키란 웹사이트 서버가 이용자의 컴퓨터 브라우저에게 전송하는 소량의 정보입니다. 쿠키는 이용자의 컴퓨터는 식별하지만 이용자는 개인적으로 식별하지는 않습니다.

: 회원과 비회원의 접속 빈도나 방문 시간 등을 분석, 이용자의 취향과 관심분야를 파악 및 자취 추적, 각종 이벤트 참여 정도 및 방문 회수 파악 등을 통한 타겟 마케팅 및 개인 맞춤 서비스 제공하기 위함입니다.

회사는 계정 정보를 생성하기 위해 이용자가 그린라이즈 서비스 실행 시 기기식별고유번호(디바이스 아이디 또는 IMEI)를 자동으로 수집하게 됩니다. 이용자가 기기식별고유번호를 자동으로 수집하는 것을 거부하는 경우 그린라이즈 서비스 이용이 불가능할 수 있습니다.
